About

My priority is to provide a safe, supportive, collaborative, empathic, confidential setting for self-exploration, growth, and healing. I aim to help my clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves to recognize their strengths and discover tools to become empowered to navigate life’s challenges. I value the privilege of embarking on the counseling journey with clients and I welcome and find purpose in working with clients with a variety of issues and from all backgrounds, lifestyles, and identities. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process between the client and counselor and that the client is the expert on their life, leading the discussion and creating the pathway for change. I focus on promoting the wellbeing of children, adolescents, and adults by applying effective treatment approaches in an inclusive, welcoming environment. I also deeply respect the intricacies that make each person unique and will take an unassuming stance, catering my counseling approach to each client’s needs. I use different evidence-based approaches to best meet the needs of my clients. My therapeutic approach can be described as solution-focused, person-centered, and strengths-based, and I integrate tools from various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), mindfulness-based (MBCT), and play therapy. My approach is informed by multicultural counseling and feminist theory, and I consider it a sacred honor and privilege to hold conversations about issues surrounding gender, race, sexuality, disability, religion, and other marginalized identities.
